Thank you for purchasing my theme. If you have any questions that are beyond the scope of this help file, please feel free to email via my user page contact form here. Thanks so much!
Corporate X Multipurpose Drupal 7 theme is composed by 2 main parts: the theme & the modules that enable the many included Views (jquery slideshow, blocks & pages) with the clean database backup. Drupal 7 theme is totally independent to the modules included on /sites/all/modules package, so feel free to extract it from the package and use it at your own way. We'll call this use mode, the "only theme" approach. Anyway, I encourage the use of the included Database Backup that will allow you to quickly build a site, rather than raising one from the scratch and based on the last stable Drupal version.
To have a completely functional Corporate Theme working on your site you must follow these steps:
1 - Do a clean Drupal 7.10 installation on your Web Server. You can get it from here: http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/drupal-7.10.tar.gz. If you also need assistance on installing Drupal go to http://drupal.org/getting-started VERY IMPORTANT: Use no prefix on your tables.
2 - Using Phpmyadmin on your Web Server or any other MySQL/PostgreSQL tool, delete all tables Drupal created during installation progress. We will replace them with the ones included in this package. NOTE: You can also Drop the Database and create a new one with the same name.
3 - Import "corporate.sql.zip" into your Database. Go to "Import" tab and browse for "corporate.sql.zip" file on the Corporate X Package. If you experience any problem, extract corporate.sql and import it directly.
4 - Copy sites.zip to your "drupal installation" folder and extract it so it merges with your sites folder. Ex: Copy it to c:/wamp/htdocs/drupal7.x/ on Windows or into /var/www/drupal7.x/ in case of Linux. NOTE: It won't overwrite your configuration files.
5 - That's it!!! Using a Web Browser get into http://yoursite.com/
6 - To log in as Administrator, go to http://yoursite.com/user to the "user login section" (/user) and Use the following access data:
X - Enjoy Corporate X Theme!!! But I suggest you to keep reading this doc to know more about it.
Corporate X Premium Theme is a Zen based theme. It means it includes all features that Zen Base theme does. This means that many of it's template files are taken from Zen, including CSS, HTML layout and theme behavior.
If you're moving Corporate Premium theme folder to another Drupal installation, you must move "corporate folder" all along with the "zen" folder for it to work correctly.
Corporate Premium Theme is compatible with any of the releases of Drupal 7.x if you use it as "only theme". If you are using it as the whole package, Drupal 7.10 is the recommended versions to use, but you can also use a previous one from the 7.x line under your own risk. Database updates could cause unstable behaviors.
Corporate theme allows millions of color combinations. You can create yours from scratch or just start from one of the 6 ones included on it.
For doing so, you must browse to the Appearance (Themes) section of your site, enable Corporate Theme and get into its settings page, under the address:
Once there, you can explore the Theming preferences and set up your own custom color set. For changing each color, just select it from the colors list and then, using the color picker, get the new one. You can also copy the HEX color from another source and paste it directly on the color box. IMPORTANT Remember you must save theme settings for get colors updated.
You can quickly change jQuery effect on the Home Slide just by going to:
Once there, you can select one of the available 27 effects, define the transition duration, the time between each effect, etc. Be careful to not touch View Related preferences to avoid unstable results if you're not an advanced Drupal user. Once you apply it, save the view.
Corporate X Theme extends all Zen Base Theme HTML layout files (.tpl.php) but two. Those two files are Zen Base Duplicates with little changes, so essentially, Corporate X Theme as a 99% Zen Layout theme. Following, I describe the changes:
The only change on the layout was adding:
for creating the editable Navigation Menu screen wide background.
The page.tpl.php file contains the main page layout for theme pages, including Views and content type's pages. I edited it to allow you to use the header block to show the menu if you want, and not by default as Zen does. Anyway, if you want to include it, here is the code I removed from line 140 but i recommend using Main Menu Block instead.
<?php if ($page['navigation'] || $main_menu): ?> <div id="navigation"><div class="section clearfix"> <?php print theme('links__system_main_menu', array( 'links' => $main_menu, 'attributes' => array( 'id' => 'main-menu', 'class' => array('links', 'inline', 'clearfix'), ), 'heading' => array( 'text' => t('Main menu'), 'level' => 'h2', 'class' => array('element-invisible'), ), )); ?> <php print render($page['navigation']); ?> </div></div> <?php endif; ?>

I'm using two CSS main files in this theme. Zen Base theme includes a lot more you can edit, but Corporate X Theme focus all its styles in only 2 CSS files: corporate.css and color.css. Zen Base theme includes reset, base layout, browsers level up and many other features that aims to each Drupal visual element, so you don't need to define it in thousands of lines of code, just in these 2 small files I'm going to explain:
This is the main file. It includes all the layout adjustments elements and the views styles. If you use "only theme" you can clean views styles to optimize your CSS file sizes. It's divided in 2 big groups of styles: General Theme Styles & Views styles. Following are the sections of the file:
/* General Theme Styles */ /* Navigation Menu */ /* Views General Styles */ /* "Home Page" View Styles */ /* "Footer Blocks" Styles */ /* "Latest News" View Styles */ /* "Adds" Block Styles */ /* "Our Products" View Styles */ /* "Our Services" View Styles */ /* "Contact Us" View Styles */
This is the second file. colors.css includes all theme colors. VERY IMPORTANT: you can't edit this file directly. Changing values in the file will cause unstable behavior on the Color Edition Mode. You must go to the theme Appearance section /admin/appearance/settings/corporate and change colors there using the color picker. Theme will save changes for you and colors.css file will be copied to /sites/default/files/color/corporate. If you would like to make any further change, there is where you can, but this last approach is NOT RECOMMENDED. Using the Color Picker is the easiest and best way. If you want to set a specific color, define it on corporate.css

As explained earlier in Theme Overview section, Corporate X Theme package includes a set of prebuilt views and many other things. So, most important things included in "sites.zip" files are:
That's why you must extract this zip file in your Drupal root folder, so it can merge with your current installation. NOTE: no configuration file will be lost. This package only contains the required modules and files. Your configuration files won't be loosed.
Once again, thank you so much for purchasing this theme. As I said at the beginning, I'd be glad to help you if you have any questions relating to this theme. No guarantees, but I'll do my best to assist. If you have a more general question relating to the themes on ThemeForest, you might consider visiting the forums and asking your question in the "Item Discussion" section.
